The report shows that China's online performance industry has shown strong resilience and vitality. The overall scale continues to expand, and revenue capacity is steadily improving. In 2024, the market revenue scale of China's online performance industry reached 212.64 billion yuan, up 1.5% year-on-year from 2023. By the end of 2024, the number of licensed commercial Internet cultural entities was 13,841, and the number of newly approved commercial Internet cultural units in 2024 was 3,828. By the end of May 2025, a total of nearly 193 million anchor accounts had been opened in the Chinese online performance industry, an increase of about 7.2% over the previous year; there were about 33.267 million monthly active broadcast accounts; and 13 million new broadcast accounts were added throughout 2024. Digital technology is deeply integrated with cultural communication, and the online performance industry has become an important place of practice for new popular literature and art.
