Cyberport Phase V will be completed within this year to support R&D and innovation in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence

The Zhitong Finance App learned that, according to reports, the Hong Kong Cyberport Phase V building will be completed within 2025 and will become a key landmark for innovation and technology in Hong Kong. It will be equipped with next-generation digital infrastructure and advanced intelligent office facilities to support R&D and innovation in cutting-edge technologies such as artificial intelligence, data science, blockchain and cybersecurity, and enhance the development of innovative and strategic emerging industries that support smart cities, fintech, low-altitude economy, arts and sports tourism, etc., providing more space for innovation and innovation enterprises from around the world to settle in and showcase their achievements.

According to information, the Cyberport expansion plan includes the construction of the Cyberport Phase V building and the optimization of the waterfront park. Cyberport Phase V is a 10-storey office building located on the northwest side of Seaside Park. It covers an area of 1.6 hectares, providing a full sea view and a total floor area of about 66,000 square meters. Of these, offices and shared workplaces account for 36,000 square meters, accounting for about 30% of the current total floor area. The building is equipped with advanced technology infrastructure, including a Tier-III+ dedicated sustainable data center, which is close to the AI supercomputing center and the core location of the Hong Kong Internet Exchange Center (HKIX) to provide high power density, high efficiency and reliable data storage and computation support; it is also equipped with dedicated optical fiber, multi-cloud platforms, 10G broadband services, etc., to provide ultra-high speed and low latency data connection transmission; the infrastructure is ready to support connecting to high-speed submarine cable networks to accelerate global network connections, international communication integration and data transmission.
