According to the WeChat account of “Crossing the Border”, the 6th meeting of the Sino-Mongolian Joint Border Committee was held in Ulaanbaatar from June 10 to 11, 2025. Sun Hongliang, Counsellor of the Department of Border and Maritime Affairs of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, and Soyerma, director of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Mongolia's Ministry of Foreign Affairs, co-chaired it. Representatives from the foreign affairs, defense, customs, water conservancy, immigration, forestry, railway and other departments and local governments of the two countries attended the conference. The meeting took place in a friendly, practical and constructive atmosphere. The two sides had an in-depth exchange of views on implementing the Sino-Mongolian Border Management System Treaty and strengthening border-related cooperation between China and Mongolia in various fields. The two sides agreed to further play the role of the Joint Commission, strengthen border management, maintain a clear and stable border between China and Mongolia, promote the construction of ports and connectivity between the two countries, deepen cooperation in forest and grassland fire prevention, border water, etc., and serve the friendly and cooperative relationship between China and Mongolia. After the meeting, the two sides signed the minutes of the sixth meeting of the Sino-Mongolian Joint Border Commission.
