According to the latest data from the State Administration of Taxation, in the first month of implementation of the policy measures, the number of departure tax refunds processed by the national tax authorities increased 116% year on year, and sales of tax refund stores increased 56% year on year; the number of “buy now and refund” business pilots were promoted to the whole country, and sales increased 50 times over the same period last year; 1303 new departure tax refund stores were added, and the number of departure tax refund stores nationwide has increased 1.4 times that of the end of 2024.
