According to the Zhitong Finance App, the Secretary for Administration and Justice of Macau, Zhang Yongchun, said that the Macau SAR government has received an official notice from Macau Entertainment Comprehensive, a subsidiary of Macau Expo Holdings (00880), and the three gaming licensing companies under Macau International Development (00200), and Galaxy Entertainment (00027) to end the operation of 11 satellite stations and 3 mocha fields by the end of this year. The Australian Government requires proper placement of employees affected by the closure of the satellite farm.

Zhang Yongchun pointed out that the Macau SAR government respects the decisions of relevant enterprises, will pay close attention to the various effects that may be caused by the completion of the satellite field, and take appropriate measures in a timely manner. All three companies promised to properly place employees affected by the closure of the satellite farm and Moca farm, and the Labor Affairs Bureau will closely monitor to ensure that employees' rights and interests are fully protected. As for Australian Entertainment's comprehensive consideration of the acquisition of the property rights of 2 satellite venues in the hotel, and the operation of 3 mocha parlors by hiring management companies, the government will review and approve the relevant applications in accordance with the provisions of the Gaming Law.

The Secretary for Economy and Finance of Macau, Dai Jianye, said that there are currently about 5,600 local employees at the satellite farm. Of these, about 4,800 are employed and assigned by gaming companies, while the remaining 800 are employed by the satellite owners themselves. The government requires all three companies to recruit resident employees to ensure their sustainable employment, and satellite owners are also responsible for properly arranging employees.

Dai Jianye said that the Australian Government will make every effort to provide assistance to affected local employees to ensure that their legal rights are not harmed, and will also provide employment matching and vocational training support for employees in need. Today, the Labour Affairs Bureau has dispatched personnel to the satellite farm to attend meetings between the gaming agency and the satellite farm's human resources department and employees to provide assistance such as consulting on labor laws. It has also set up a number of telephone hotlines and counters to provide one-stop service for employees.

Regarding the business situation of businesses around the satellite farm, Dai Jianye said that the Macao Economic and Technological Development Bureau has sent personnel to conduct field inspections several times and is actively preparing to carry out work in relevant regions, including optimizing the overall appearance of the community and studying and introducing activities and projects conducive to commercial development in the region.
