Japan's NAND flash memory giant Kioxia announced medium- to long-term business plans to double production capacity by 2029 compared to FY2024 by expanding production lines at its two major factories in Japan — Yokkaichi Plant and Kitakami Plant — to meet the growing demand for NAND flash memory in artificial intelligence data centers. Additionally, Kioxia plans to start producing next-generation memory in the second half of 2026.
