The 2025 China Automobile Chongqing Forum was held on June 6-7. The theme was “Shaping the Future of the Industry in an Era of Change”. Wang Xia, Chairman of the Automobile Industry Committee of the China Council for the Promotion of International Trade and Chairman of the Automobile Industry Chamber of Commerce of the China Chamber of International Commerce, attended and delivered a speech. Wang Xia pointed out that industrial restructuring in mainland China may be carried out in several different ways. Method 1. Big Auto Group strengthens its main business through internal integration to reduce costs and increase efficiency; method 2: strong fuel vehicle companies integrate new energy vehicle companies with technical advantages but weak scale and marketing; method 3. Advantageous NEV companies integrate weak NEV companies; and method 4. Advantageous international car companies integrate weak local NEV companies through acquisitions, joint ventures, or technical cooperation.
