SK Hynix surpassed Samsung Electronics for the first time in the global DRAM market in the first quarter of this year. In the face of the overall market decline, SK Hynix's market share rose from 36% in the fourth quarter of last year to 36.9% in the first quarter of this year, surpassing Samsung Electronics, and the latter's market share fell from 38.6% to 34.4%. In terms of sales, SK Hynix's sales in the first quarter were 9.72 billion US dollars, while Samsung Electronics' sales were 9.1 billion US dollars. This is the first time since Samsung Electronics became the world's largest DRAM producer in 1992, that SK Hynix took the lead.
