This is Russia's second bridge collapse in 24 hours. On the evening of May 31, a bridge collapsed in Bryansk region in western Russia, causing a passenger train to derail. Bryansk Governor Bogomaz said that at least 7 people have died as a result of this incident, and 30 others have been taken to medical treatment. The Moscow Railway Company said that “illegal interference with transportation activities” caused the bridge to collapse, which in turn caused the passenger train from Moscow to Klimov to derail.
