In addition to the bilateral cooperation between Hong Kong and Qatar, two of these agreements were directly reached between mainland China and Qatari companies to cooperate on financial services and high-end manufacturing. Chinese company Yushi Technology participated in the test program, setting a precedent for the application of autonomous driving technology at airports in the Middle East.

The Hong Kong government said that Yushi Technology is one of the leading companies in autonomous driving technology in mainland China. It has set up an international headquarters in Hong Kong and used Hong Kong as a springboard to expand its business to all parts of the world. The company cooperated with Hong Kong International Airport on an autonomous vehicle program to enhance the safety and operational efficiency of airport logistics, and learn from successful experiences to promote the technology to the international market. Hamad International Airport showcased cooperation between mainland China, Hong Kong and Qatar as the latest pilot project for Yushi Technology.
