The Zhitong Finance App learned that on April 1, a Xiaomi (01810) company spokesperson posted a message on Weibo in response to “a Xiaomi SU7 was involved in a serious traffic accident on the highway, resulting in 3 deaths.” Xiaomi said that due to construction and repair, the section of the road where the incident occurred was blocked from the driveway and diverted to the reverse lane. When the vehicle detects an obstacle, it alerts and starts to slow down. The driver then took over the vehicle and entered a drivered state, and continued to slow down and steer the vehicle. Afterwards, the vehicle collided with a concrete pile in the isolation zone. The final speed the system could confirm before the collision was about 97 km/h.
