Following the previous announcement of support for DeepSeek, Amazon Web Technology today once again announced the launch of a fully hosted full-blood version of DeepSeek R1 on Amazon Bedrock. For the first time, this model was launched as a fully managed service, further expanding the way customers can use DeepSeek and its distilled version in Amazon Bedrock. Amazon CEO Andy Jassy said, “We've made DeepSeek-R1 easier to use. The model is now offered in a fully managed model on Amazon BedRock — Amazon Web Services is the first cloud service provider to launch DeepSeek-R1 as a fully managed service. Users can get the full set of security protections and tools they need to build efficient and practical generative AI applications without any configuration or maintenance.”
