PGIM Real Estate and Barker Pacific Group (BPG) said Thursday that Databricks Inc., the data and AI company, has signed a lease for approximately 150,000 square feet at One Sansome in downtown San Francisco. This represents the largest new office lease in the city so far this year.

Databricks will relocate its headquarters from 160 Spear St. and is expected to move all San Francisco employees into nine full floors at One Sansome. The firm will begin a phased build-out of its offices in June.

“Our long-term investment in San Francisco is yielding results, and we are enthusiastic about the future of downtown,” said Darin Bright, managing director and head of U.S. core-plus investment strategies at PGIM Real Estate.

Newmark’s Mike Brown, Roman Adler, and Aaron Gillespie were the brokers for BPG, while the JLL team of Arnand Tiano and Andy Hueser represented Databricks.
