After Hamas confirmed the death of its leader Yahya Sinwar, Iran's Ministry of Foreign Affairs issued a statement today strongly condemning Israel's murder of Sinwar. The statement said that Sinwar is “a famous fighter against Israeli oppression. He has fought for the legitimate rights of the Palestinian people all his life and has always stuck to the path of liberating the Palestinian people.” Iran strongly condemns Israel's crime and denounces the US for providing financial and military support to Israel, “being Israel's accomplice.” The statement stressed that Sinwar's death “will not disrupt the resistance; on the contrary, it will inspire the resistance to continue on its path of justice.” Iranian Foreign Minister Alagzi also posted on social media to mourn Sinwar and said “the cause of liberating Palestine from occupation is more active than ever.”
