On October 15-18, the eleventh round of negotiations on the China-GCC FTA was held in Guangzhou. Wang Shuwen, international trade negotiator and vice-minister of the Ministry of Commerce, and Marzouki, general coordinator of GCC free trade negotiations, led separate delegations. About 70 officials from China's Ministry of Commerce, the National Development and Reform Commission, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, the Ministry of Finance, the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Affairs, the General Administration of Customs, the competent authorities of the six GCC countries, and the GCC Secretariat attended the meeting. The two sides earnestly implemented the consensus of the leaders of China and China, accelerated the negotiation process, made positive progress, and ensured the conclusion of negotiations by the end of 2024. The China-China Sea Free Trade Agreement negotiations began in 2004. Reaching a free trade agreement as soon as possible will further deepen Sino-Maritime economic and trade cooperation and inject new connotations into the Sino-Maritime strategic partnership.
