Wang Weiming, director of the Equipment Industry Division I of the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology, said at the 2024 World Intelligent Connected Vehicle Conference today that overall, China's intelligent connected vehicle pilot demonstration has made positive progress, but many problems such as fragmentation of scenarios, localization of standards, and data siloization still need to be solved. It still faces certain challenges in technological innovation, improvement of regulations and standards, cross-industry collaboration, ecological construction, and business model exploration. In the next step, the Ministry of Industry and Information Technology will focus on the following areas of work: First, to further advance the “vehicle cloud integration” application pilot, increase policy support, improve top-level design, and coordinate pilot cities to solidly advance construction tasks in accordance with the pilot work plan. The second is to establish a “vehicle road cloud integrated standard system” to strengthen the leading role of standards and promote the standard unification process. The third is to strengthen cross-regional pilot connectivity, rely on the construction results of early pilot demonstration work, and give full play to the synergy of structures and standards. Fourth, carry out extensive international exchanges and cooperation, exchange pilot demonstration experiences with various parties through multi-bilateral cooperation mechanisms and United Nations framework working mechanisms, and share test and verification results.
