The Zhitong Finance App learned that in the fourth quarter, with the release of new models and the advent of promotion seasons such as “Double Eleven” and “Black 5,” demand for smartphone panels is growing. However, at present, the cost pressure on terminal brands is still high, and fierce competition continues in some technology-specific supply chains. According to Qunzhi Consulting's forecast, the overall price of smartphone panels is still showing a steady downward trend.
The detailed analysis of each technical panel is as follows:
a-Si LCD: Panel prices have bottomed out, supply chain operating costs are under high pressure, and a-Si LCD prices gradually stabilized in October.
LTPS LCD: Demand for LTPS LCD panels for smartphones continues to weaken, and prices continue to decline with mass production of new projects.
ROLED: Rigid OLED smartphone panel prices remained stable in October.
FOLED: With the release of high-end flagship models from various brands, overall demand for FOLED is picking up. However, due to adjustments in the pace of panel demand from some terminal brands in the first half of the year, there was no risk of being out of stock during the peak season. At the same time, domestic panel production capacity continued to be released, supply-side competition was intense, and prices for individual low-end new projects were lowered in the fourth quarter.

Entering October, panel prices remained stable. Price competition among different technologies is becoming more intense, and it has become an important factor affecting the price of panels. Let's take a closer look:
a-Si LCD: For low-end projects, prices are basically stable; for mid-tier projects, with the determination of new projects in 2025, the “no increase in price” strategy (that is, panel specifications are upgraded, the price does not increase or increase slightly) has become a balance point between panel manufacturers and brands.
LTPS LCD: There is a lot of pressure for prices to continue to stabilize. On the one hand, demand for mobile phone panels continues to weaken, and supply-side manufacturers need to drive demand for medium-sized panels; on the other hand, in competition with other technologies, they also need to be more aggressive in seeking prices for projects. The prices of old projects may also be affected. It is expected that LTPS prices will loosen in the future.
