The China Electromechanical Chamber of Commerce issued a statement on the Sino-European price commitment negotiations on October 16: After the final disclosure of the EU electric vehicle countervailing investigation, with the authorization of 12 electric vehicle companies, the China Chamber of Commerce for Import and Export of Electromechanical Products submitted a price commitment plan to the European Commission on August 24 in accordance with the requirements of the investigation procedures in this case. Over the course of more than 20 days since September 20, the Chinese and European technical teams have held 8 rounds of intensive discussions in Brussels. After strenuous efforts, the two sides have made significant progress, but the European side has never responded positively to the core concerns involving the Chinese and European industries, and there are still major differences between the two sides. The negotiations have so far failed to reach a solution acceptable to both parties.
