In order to facilitate personnel exchanges between Hong Kong and the Mainland and help Hong Kong better integrate into the overall national development agenda, from now on, the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong will provide more convenient visa policies for foreign permanent residents of Hong Kong and foreign Hong Kong residents: 1. The above personnel who go to the mainland to engage in business, travel, family visits, visits, etc. can all be issued multiple visas valid for up to 5 years and for a period of not more than 180 days. 2. When applying for a visa, the above personnel are exempt from submitting round-trip transportation tickets and hotel orders. 3. The above personnel who have kept fingerprints at Chinese visa authorities abroad and have been issued visas are exempt from fingerprints when applying for a visa from the Hong Kong Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs. The above visa policies do not cover foreign domestic helpers. The applicant concerned should be reminded that depending on the circumstances of each case, visa officials may adjust the visa's validity period, length of stay, and number of entries, or request additional documents and interviews. Applicants will not of course be issued multiple visas for the longest period of validity or stay. Furthermore, the relevant arrangements remain unchanged for those who have exchanged visas between China and some countries for many years.
