The Zhitong Finance App learned that in order to facilitate personnel exchanges between Hong Kong and mainland China and help Hong Kong better integrate into the overall national development agenda, the Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong will provide more convenient visa policies for foreign permanent residents of Hong Kong and foreign Hong Kong residents from now on. These include those who go to mainland China to engage in business, travel, family visits, visits, etc., and can all be issued multiple visas valid for a maximum period of 5 years and a stay of no more than 180 days. When applying for a visa, you are exempt from submitting round-trip transportation tickets and hotel orders. Those who have kept their fingerprints at Chinese visa authorities abroad and have been issued a visa are exempt from fingerprinting when applying for a visa from the office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs in Hong Kong.

The above visa policies do not cover foreign domestic helpers. The applicant concerned should be reminded that depending on the circumstances of each case, visa officials may adjust the visa's validity period, length of stay, and number of entries, or request additional documents and interviews. Applicants will not of course be issued multiple visas for the longest period of validity or stay. Furthermore, the relevant arrangements remain unchanged for those who have exchanged visas between China and some countries for many years.
