According to the Zhitong Finance App, Naipu Mining (300818.SZ) issued an announcement. In recent years, the company has successively laid out and built production bases in well-developed mining regions such as Zambia, Chile, Peru and Serbia to serve local mining customers nearby, respond to customer needs in a timely manner, and effectively develop the international market. On October 16, 2024, the first phase of the company's production base in Zambia was fully completed and officially put into operation.

According to reports, the company began construction of a production base in Zambia in 2022. The base is located in Zambia's Copperbelt Province, adjacent to the Zambia-Congo (DRC) copper belt (the copper belt is 220 kilometers long, 60 kilometers wide, and accounts for 15% of the world's reserves. It is a world-famous “copper belt”), and the surrounding area is rich in mineral resources. The entire base covers an area of about 10.1 hectares. Currently, the first phase, which covers an area of about 6.1 hectares, has been completed and put into operation. The total investment of the project is about 30 million US dollars to produce wear-resistant spare parts such as composite liners and slurry pump flow parts, with an annual production capacity of 4,000 tons. At the same time, it also provides customers with service functions such as after-sales maintenance and storage.

Africa is rich in mineral resources and has great potential for market development. After the production base in Zambia is put into operation, it can effectively meet local mining needs in Africa, expand the company's influence in the African region, and is an important part of the company's international development strategy. It helps the company to further expand its market share at home and abroad, enhance the company's position in the industry, and maintain the company's competitive advantage in the same industry. Currently, the production base in Zambia is in the initial stage of commissioning, and it will take some time for full production.
