According to statistics from Vietnam's Ministry of Planning and Investment, in the first 9 months, the total foreign investment of Vietnamese enterprises was 189.6 million US dollars, down 54.5% from the same period last year; of these, 105 new investment license projects were obtained, and the registered capital amount was 177.5 million US dollars, down 27.5% from the previous year. As of September 2024, Vietnamese enterprises had a total of 1,772 foreign investment projects, with a total investment capital of US$22.11 billion. In the first nine months of this year, foreign investment by Vietnamese enterprises was mainly concentrated in mining, processing and manufacturing, wholesale and retail industries. Of these, 58.6 million US dollars were invested in the mining industry, accounting for 30.9% of the total investment; 34.7 million US dollars were invested in the processing and manufacturing industry, accounting for 18.3% of the total investment. In terms of investment regions, Vietnamese enterprises have invested in 27 countries and regions, with the Netherlands investing the most, followed by Laos.
