The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lee Ka-chiu, presented his third Policy Address in office in the Legislative Council today. In the report, Li Jiachao said that it will vigorously promote the development of new energy sources in Hong Kong. He said that the Government will set aside about HK$750 million in the New Energy Transport Fund to fund the taxi industry and franchised bus companies to purchase electric vehicles and launch a hydrogen fuel cell heavy vehicle subsidy test scheme.
