The Chief Executive of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region, Lee Ka-chiu, today released the “Chief Executive's 2024 Policy Address” in the conference hall of the Legislative Council Complex of the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region. Li Jiachao said that the HK$2 billion will be allocated to establish a professional development fund for teachers to support long-term professional development and continuously optimize teacher training and exchange programs; it will also allocate about HK$470 million to strengthen the learning and teaching of English, Mandarin and other languages, as well as to strengthen the care of students with special learning needs, and continue to provide financial support such as book allowances for students with financial needs.
