The Zhitong Finance App learned that according to a report by the cryptocurrency website Decrypto, Tesla (TSLA.US) transferred its Bitcoin holdings for the first time in two years. Although there is currently no indication that Tesla is selling bitcoins, the company has transferred about 765 million US dollars worth of bitcoins to unknown wallets. This wallet appears to be new, and I don't know if it's related to cryptocurrency exchanges.

In February 2021, Tesla announced the purchase of $1.5 billion in Bitcoin and the sale of 10% of its holdings in the second quarter of 2021. In July 2022, Tesla sold 75% of its remaining Bitcoin holdings. Since then, Tesla continued to hold the remaining Bitcoin. The current price of Bitcoin is around $6.65 million.

In addition to buying and selling Bitcoin, Tesla has a complicated relationship with Bitcoin. In 2021, Tesla said it would accept bitcoin payments, but after two months, Musk suspended the move due to the environmental impact of bitcoin mining. Musk also said that once most Bitcoin mining is powered by green energy, the company will consider resuming accepting bitcoin payments, but the company has yet to do so. Also, Musk is a big fan of Dogecoin.
