LG New Energy announced on October 15 that it has signed a supply agreement with Ford Motor Company to power Ford's electric commercial vans in Europe. According to the contract, LG Renewables expects to supply a total of 109 GWh of batteries for Ford's electric commercial vans starting in 2026, for a contract period of 4 to 6 years. The two companies also agreed to manufacture batteries for the current Ford Mustang Mach-E at LG New Energy's Michigan plant in 2025, rather than in Poland.
