People's Liberation Army Daily, Xi'an, October 14 - Zhang Yutong and reporter Li Jianwen report: On the morning of the 14th, the third chemical weapons medical assistance and protection training course jointly organized by the Chinese government and the International Organization for the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons began at the Air Force Military Medical University. The purpose of this training is to strengthen the capabilities of all complying countries in dealing with chemical weapons threats, jointly implement the Convention on the Prohibition of Chemical Weapons, and contribute actively to building a common destiny of mankind. Thirty-one students from 20 participating countries, including Brazil, Ecuador, Germany, Italy, Morocco, Thailand, and China, began a week of intensive training at the Air Force Military Medical University. The training focused on in-depth discussions and exchanges on topics such as “Symptoms, Diagnosis, and Treatment of Chemical Weapons Poisoning”, “Medical Evacuation and Classification of Chemically Damaged People”, and “Organization and Implementation of Chemical Prevention Medical Rescue”. Through various forms such as theoretical lectures, case studies, and practical exercises, participants will fully understand and master knowledge and skills related to chemical weapons medical assistance and protection, and enhance their ability to deal with chemical weapons threats.
