It also signifies the continuity and sustainability of government administration, highlighting that Hong Kong is moving towards “governance and prosperity”, a moment of unleashing strength. Li Jiachao said that before attending the Executive Council this morning, he met with the media to thank the central government for signing the second revised CEPA “Agreement on Trade in Services” with the Ministry of Commerce and the Hong Kong Special Administrative Region Government last Wednesday. Hong Kong has benefited greatly from the signing of the new revised agreement, including making Hong Kong's many advantageous industries more new opportunities; making it easier for Hong Kong enterprises to invest and develop in the mainland in the future; and attracting enterprises and talents from all over the world to settle in Hong Kong and enter the mainland market through Hong Kong. He was happy to hear from all sectors of society over the past few days welcoming the signing of the new agreement. The new revised agreement will be implemented on March 1 next year. The government will do a good job of implementation, explanation and promotion to help the industry make good use of the preferential measures of the revised agreement.
