Recently, when screening data at the Big Data Center of the National Health Insurance Administration, it was discovered that at a pharmacy in Harbin, Heilongjiang, 96 insured persons purchased a particularly large amount of money. One of the insured persons purchased about 160 boxes of prescription drugs for special diseases in 2 years, amounting to more than one million yuan. However, the buyer claimed that the pharmacy never asked for prescriptions. The flight inspection team investigated four pharmacies in Harbin and found that almost all of the prescriptions issued by the pharmacies were handwritten; as few as 1,000 yuan or as many as 120,000 yuan were prescribed in a single prescription. However, the hospitals listed on the prescriptions indicated that they had already abolished handwritten prescriptions. The inspection team also discovered tens of thousands of handwritten prescriptions prepared by pharmacies. The prescriptions were all forged, and the total amount was over 100 million yuan! Currently, the National Health Insurance Administration has handed over the matter to the local public security, and 2 of the 4 pharmacies involved have closed.
