As a traditional low sales season, real estate business performance unsurprisingly continued its lackluster trend in August. According to sales data released by third-party research agency Kerui, in August, the top 100 real estate companies achieved sales transaction amount of 251.2 billion yuan, a decrease of 10% from the previous month, and the monthly performance scale continued to remain at a historically low level; the year-on-year decline was still ongoing, with a decline of about 26.8%. Judging from the cumulative results, the top 100 real estate enterprises achieved sales transactions of 2382.1 billion yuan in January-July. Although the year-on-year decline was 36.5%, the decline narrowed by 1 percentage point, and has been narrowing for 6 consecutive months. Mid-range and high-end residences performed well in an overall deserted market environment. In the first half of this year, daily or hot sales markets appeared one after another in many places, directly driving the sales performance of housing enterprises.
