COSCO Haifa (02866) announced interim results. Net profit of 895 million yuan decreased by 18.65% year on year

According to the Zhitong Finance App, COSCO Haifa (02866) announced interim results for the six months ended June 30, 2024. The group achieved operating revenue of RMB 11.76 billion (same unit), an increase of 105.65% over the previous year; net profit attributable to shareholders of listed companies was RMB 895 million, a year-on-year decrease of 18.65%; and basic earnings per share were RMB 0.0661.

According to the announcement, the increase in revenue was mainly due to the recovery of the container transport market, rising demand in the container market, and the year-on-year increase in container sales. Container sales volume in the current period was 744,400 TEU, up 302.16% from 185,1 TEU in the previous period.
