How does inheriting assets in an IRA work?

Assets are transferred to beneficiary IRA account(s) that the IRA owner designated to Webull, in writing, prior to their death. If the IRA owner did not provide beneficiary designations, a surviving spouse becomes the beneficiary. If there is no surviving spouse, the estate is the beneficiary.
