Portfolios

What is Portfolio Blueprint?

Portfolio Blueprint is Webull’s portfolio hub. It brings curated portfolios, strategies modeled on well-known investors, ready-made ETF portfolios, and portfolios you build yourself together in one place, so you can compare performance, explore new ideas, and find inspiration for your next investment decision.

What can I explore in Portfolio Blueprint?

Portfolio Blueprint has four sections (tabs):

  • Inspiration: Discover curated portfolios across trackers, ETFs, and user-built strategies. Includes a “Market Outperformance” ranking that compares performance against the S&P 500, with time filters (1M, 3M, 1Y, 3Y).
  • Tracker: Browse portfolios modeled on the holdings of well-known investors, based on their 13F filings, for example Warren Buffett, Bill Gates, Ray Dalio, Bill Ackman, Kenneth C. Griffin, and Joseph L. Hooley. Portfolios are listed by allocation update time.
  • ETF Portfolio: Explore ready-made ETF model portfolios, organized into two views. Popular groups portfolios by themes such as Low Cost, Diversification, and Global (e.g., Buffet Theory, 60/40, Golden Butterfly, Permanent, Ivy, and NoBrainer). Thematic groups them by sector or theme such as AI, ESG, Energy, HealthCare, Industrials, and Emerging.
  • DIY: Build and manage your own portfolio. The DIY tab also shows a “Top Ranking” leaderboard of user-built (“Webuller-Built”) portfolios, which you can sort by time period (e.g., Yearly).

Where do I find my own portfolios?

Tap My Plans in the top-right of Portfolio Blueprint. My Plans has two tabs:

  • My Portfolios: the portfolios you’ve created.
  • My Favorites: portfolios you’ve saved.

If you haven’t created one yet, this area shows “No Data” with a Create Portfolio button.

How do I create my own portfolio (DIY)?

Building your own portfolio happens in the DIY section. The flow has three steps: ChooseSelectSet.

App:

  1. Tap on Menu.
  2. Under Shortcuts select MorePortfolios.
  3. Open the DIY tab in Portfolio Blueprint and tap Create Portfolio (you can also tap Create Portfolio from My Plans).
  4. On the Build My Portfolio screen, tap Create Portfolio under Create Portfolio Myself.
  5. Select your securities: tap the + next to each symbol you want from your watchlist, or use the search icon to find others, then tap Next.
  6. Set your allocations on the Position Allocation screen: enter a percentage for each security so all positions total 100%. Tap Equal Weight to divide evenly, or type each percentage. The Allocated and To be Allocated totals at the top track your progress to 100%.
  7. When Allocated shows 100.00%, tap Trade to place your orders. (Optional: tap Backtest to test the allocation first, or Reset to start over.)

What are the requirements?

  • You must name your portfolio.
  • Only market orders are allowed.
  • Available on the Webull mobile app.
  • Up to 30 securities per portfolio.
  • Recurring investments must be fixed dollar amounts: minimum $1 per security, maximum $25,000 (e.g., a 5-security portfolio needs at least $5 total). The same limits apply to one-time investments.
  • Up to 10 active recurring investment settings per account; each security counts as one.
  • Only securities eligible for fractional-share trading can be used in recurring investments. Look for the green diamond icon near the market quote.

How do I close or delete my portfolio?

You can close or delete an existing Portfolio through the Webull mobile app. The same set of steps is used for both actions; you'll select either Close or Delete at the final step.

App:

  1. Tap on Menu.
  2. Under Shortcuts select More Portfolios
  3. Select the desired Portfolio.
  4. Select the 3 dots in the top right hand corner and select Close or Delete.

  • Closing a Portfolio: If you choose to close your Portfolio, you will no longer be able to make any changes to its allocation or selected securities. The Portfolio will be locked in its current state. After closing, your only options will be to continue investing into the existing Portfolio or to delete it.
  • Deleting a Portfolio: If you choose to delete your Portfolio while still holding open positions, the Portfolio itself will be removed, but the underlying positions will remain visible under the My Positions tab.
