Understanding Withdrawal Availability

When will my funds be available for withdrawal?

For withdrawal availability of recent deposits, please review the chart below to see when your funds will be accessible:

Deposit Methods
Holding Period
Rollover Check
10 Business Days
ACH
5 Business Days
Direct Deposit
5 Business Days
Debit Card
2 Business Days
Wire
1 Business Day

ACH deposits initiated on or after 4:00 PM ET or on non-business days will be processed the next business day, which will extend the timeframe before funds are available for withdrawal by one business day. Market closures and bank holidays will also delay availability by one business day.

What other factors could make my funds unavailable for withdrawal?

  • Unsettled proceeds from sales: Funds from sales are unavailable for withdrawal until they have fully settled. Both stock and option trades settle on a T+1 basis.
  • Unsettled proceeds from redeeming MMFs: Funds are available for withdrawal the next business day if redeemed before 1:00 PM ET, or two business days if redeemed after 1:00 PM ET. For example, an order placed after 1:00 PM ET on Monday will have funds available for withdrawal on Wednesday.
  • Unsettled proceeds from dividends: Funds credited to your account from a dividend payment will be available for withdrawal on the next business day.
  • Recent internal transfer activity: Funds transferred from another Webull account will be available for withdrawal on the next business day after the transfer.
  • Pending orders & frozen funds: Funds allocated for open orders, as well as purchases of IPOs and Secondary Offerings, will be locked in your trading account and unavailable for withdrawal.
  • Early exercise requests: Early exercise requests for call options positions will reduce your account's available to withdraw balance by the exercise amount (ex: exercising one call contract with a strike of $5 would reduce the amount by $500).
  • Required margin maintenance: NYSE and FINRA regulations mandate that investors maintain a minimum level of equity in their margin account at all times.
