Advanced Engineered Materials Limited, formerly Advanced Energy Minerals Limited, is an Australia-based producer of high purity alumina (HPA) with production facilities in Cap-Chat, Quebec, Canada. Its Technical Development Centre developed its patented Chloride Leach Crystallization Purification (CLCP) production process deployed at its Cap-Chat plant. It produces a range of products which include alpha alumina, gamma alumina both marketed under the SupALOX trade name and pucks made of compressed alumina under the SupPUCK brand. It has a portfolio of 80+ standard products for many application fields. SupALOX Ultra Pure Alumina is manufactured initially as a uniform powder with a typical D50 of 90 um and a D90 of 180 um. Subsequent mechanical post-processing is then used, as necessary to customize the product to each customer's requirements. Its products have main applications in ceramics, single crystal sapphire, batteries, polishing, phosphors, thermal management and catalysis.
