Aberdeen Asia Focus PLC, formerly abrdn Asia Focus plc, is a United Kingdom-based closed-end investment company. The Company’s investment objective is to maximize total return to shareholders over the long term from a portfolio made up predominantly of quoted smaller companies in the economies of Asia excluding Japan. The Company invests in a diversified portfolio of securities (including equity shares, preference shares, convertible securities, warrants and other equity-related securities) predominantly issued by quoted smaller companies spread across a range of industries and economies in the investment region. The Company may invest up to 10% of its net assets in collective investment schemes, and up to 10% of its net assets in unquoted companies, calculated at the time of investment. It invests in various sectors, including automobiles, banks, chemicals, consumer finance, financial services, food products, machinery, media, and pharmaceuticals.
