American IT Scammer Helped North Korea Fund Nuclear Weapons Program, U.S. Says
Two people have been arrested in connection to the scheme. The Justice Department says more than 300 companies hired foreign nationals with ties to North Korea for remote IT work. An American citizen allegedly participated in the scheme, prosecutors say. North Korea has been accused of using the scheme to fund its nuclear weapons program.
