It's Rotation Time (Or Not) Again
June CPI report shows lower than expected price gains, increasing likelihood of Fed cutting interest rates in September. Lower inflation can benefit small-cap stocks by helping them maintain profit margins during economic slowdown. Uncertainty remains about durability of rotation from large cap growth stocks and reasons behind recent sell-off.

Rotation Into Small Cap Stocks
Yesterday, a strong rotation took place out of mega cap stocks into smaller cap stocks. Small cap value stocks were up over 3% Thursday, while large cap growth stocks were down -1.5%. The market is anticipating a rate cut by the Federal Reserve in September. The Mag 7 did not fare well, with the MAGS ETF down almost -4.5% Thursday.
