It is primarily focused on advancement of its drug candidate Brilacidin for decreasing the incidence of severe oral mucositis as a complication of chemoradiation in oral mucositis. The Company also owns an interest in BT BeaMedical Technologies Ltd. (BTL), a private company developing an image guided surgical laser platform. The Company is monitoring BTL’s progress in advancing its laser-based thermal ablation technology platform targeting epilepsy and oncology procedures.
