Central Japan Railway Co is a Japan-based company mainly involved in the provision of railway services. The Company operates in three business segments. The Transportation segment is engaged in the operation of Tokaido Shinkansen railways and the conventional railways in the Tokai area, as well as the provision of bus services. The Distribution segment is engaged in the operation of department stores in JR central towers, as well as the merchandising business in train compartments and stations. The Real Estate segment is engaged in the leasing and sale of station buildings and other real estate. The Company also operates a hotel business, travel agency business, advertising business, railroad car manufacturing business, and construction business.
