It is engaged primarily in container shipping and related activities, including tankers, trampers and offshore operations worldwide, through its subsidiaries. Maersk comprises four business segments: Ocean, Logistics & Services, Terminals & Towage and Manufacturing & Others. Ocean segment includes the ocean activities of Maersk Liner Business together with the Hamburg Sud Brands.
