The Company is focused on commercializing an enzyme-based enabling technology for CO2 capture from fossil fuel-power plants, pulp and paper mills and other large emitters of CO2. It operates through a segment of sales of data, procedures and services relating to the management and elimination of CO2 using an enzyme conversion-based technology. It serves its customers in Canada, the United States and Europe. Its applications include carbon capture and utilization and carbon capture and Sequestration (CCS). Its carbon capture and utilization includes enhanced oil recovery, pulp and paper, water treatment, greenhouses, beverage carbonation, other emerging uses of CO2, carbon capture and storage and Alberta oil sands. It uses technology for the capture and production of CO2 for both utilization and sequestration, which is based on the use of chemical amine solvents such as monoethanolamine and piperazine.
