The Zhitong Finance App learned that on November 6, Zhida Technology (02650) held the launch of overseas AI smart energy solutions and charging robot products in Chonburi, Thailand. The company officially released smart energy solutions for homes and public environments to Thailand, and launched a megawatt-scale flexible liquid-cooled charger; on the same day, it signed strategic cooperation with a number of partners to promote the implementation of related products and services in Thailand.
The press conference attracted customers and partners from Indonesia, Malaysia, Laos, Sri Lanka, Cambodia and other Southeast Asian and Middle Eastern countries. The company said that it chose Thailand to release scenario plans and new products this time, reflecting its determination to deeply cultivate Thailand and serve the local green energy transformation. Zhida will provide integrated green energy solutions for local households, operators, parks and businesses with a more complete product matrix and “home+public” full-scene coverage capabilities, and work with more partners to build a green travel ecosystem in Thailand.
Thailand's first professional charging pile factory, with the highest market share in both categories
Zhida's localization layout in Thailand began in 2022. In the context of Sino-Thai new energy industry collaboration, the company used Thailand as its first comprehensive overseas destination; in 2024, with the support of the local Thai government, park and industry partners, the Chonburi plant was officially put into operation. The factory was the first professional charging pile manufacturer in Thailand, and the first overseas factory built by a Chinese charging pile company. On the day of the event, the base completed the delivery of the 100,000th charging station.
By rooting manufacturing and supporting businesses in Thailand, Zhida has promoted the employment of nearly 1,000 local personnel and gradually established an installation and after-sales service network covering the whole country. The company has a service team of more than 300 people and a team of more than 2,000 cooperative electricians in Thailand.
Currently, Zhida AC charging stations have sold 100,000 units in Thailand, with a market share of more than 80%; DC charging piles have a market share of more than 20%. Both types of products rank first in Thailand, serving a wide range of scenarios such as homes, commercial properties and public charging stations.
As the localization layout deepens, Zhida's development in Thailand has also received attention from all sectors of the local community. In 2023, then-Thai Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Commerce Poutan learned about the company's business layout during the Expo; in 2024, Zhida Technology presented charging piles to Her Royal Highness Princess Maha Zakri Sirindhorn; in September of this year, Thai Prime Minister Anutin communicated with Zhida's Thai team to affirm the company's smart charging products and contributions to the local new energy industry.
The home charger market is at the forefront, expanding in depth to smart energy for homes
Starting with the AC charging pile business, Zhida has built up a solid base of home charging customers in Thailand. The launch of smart home energy solutions extends the business from charging to photovoltaics, energy storage and energy management. It not only extends its existing capabilities, but also echoes Thailand's policy orientation to promote the popularization of household photovoltaics.
Recently, Thailand's Ministry of Finance launched the “National Photovoltaics” project, which plans to allocate 50 billion baht for household photovoltaic equipment and installation subsidies, support up to 1 million households to install rooftop photovoltaics, and promote roofs as energy production sites.
In response to Thailand's high temperature and humidity climate and differences in household roof conditions, Zhida launched a three-in-one optical storage product integrating an inverter, battery management system and energy storage battery. The power of a single inverter can reach 12 kilowatts, which can meet the needs of about 100 square meters of rooftop photovoltaic installation, and is connected to a 20-degree electric energy storage battery. For households that have already installed photovoltaics, the company and TSun launched energy storage products with a capacity of 5 to 16 kWh to meet the installation needs of newly built villas, apartments and existing PV users.
At the same time, facing future scenarios, Zhida integrated the AI energy management platform and the “Pioneer Robot” home charging robot into the home scenario, combined with Thailand's local electricity price strategy to achieve collaboration between photovoltaic power generation, energy storage scheduling, and vehicle energy supplementation, so that more Thai households can enjoy green, intelligent, and convenient energy services.
DC charging is moving towards megawatt-level flash charging, and the public charging layout is being upgraded at an accelerated pace
Public charging is another important direction for Zhida to participate deeply in the construction of Thailand's energy ecosystem. At present, the company has formed a DC charging product system covering different power levels. The application scenarios cover commercial charging stations, fleet operations, etc. The new megawatt-scale flexible liquid-cooled charger launched this time will promote the upgrading of local public energy supplementation facilities to higher power and higher efficiency.
The product fully takes into account Thailand's climate and charging needs. It uses liquid cooling and cooling technology to improve the long-term operation stability of the equipment for high temperature and humidity environments throughout the year; in response to the multi-model charging needs of highways, industrial parks and large public stations, flexible power distribution technology is used to achieve dynamic charging power scheduling and improve the efficiency of power resource utilization at the station.
For regions where grid capacity is limited and capacity expansion costs are high, Zhida also provides integrated optical storage and charging solutions. Through collaborative operation of photovoltaics, energy storage and charging equipment, power grid capacity constraints are mitigated, and operators can reduce energy costs and improve the level of clean energy utilization.
At the same time, Zhida is also focusing on future smart mobility trends, combining a “spiritual” public charging robot with an optical storage and charging system to launch an “AI energy+automatic charging robot” public solution for operating scenarios such as Robotaxi, and explore intelligent energy replenishment models in the autonomous driving era.
Deepen local industry collaboration and link global cooperation
As the product and business layout continues to deepen, Zhida is also continuously expanding its local and international partners in Thailand. At this press conference, Zhida signed cooperation agreements with 8 sales agency partners to further improve local market channels and service networks.
At the same time, Zhida reached a strategic cooperation with TSUNESS (TSUNESS). The two sides will jointly develop integrated optical storage and charging appliances around “energy storage appliances and intelligent charging”, and deepen cooperation in the fields of supply chain collaboration, localized manufacturing, international sales, and e-commerce channel construction to jointly promote the market application of smart energy products. Thailand will become one of the first pilot countries for global cooperation between the two sides.
Facing the next phase, Zhida plans to continue to increase capital investment in Thailand, increase the annual production capacity of AC charging piles in local factories to 200,000 units, increase the annual production capacity of DC charging piles to 1,000 units, and build a production capacity of 10,000 sets of household optical storage products per year. In the future, the company will deepen its strategic positioning as an AI smart energy service provider, transform more technological innovations into practical results for serving Thai residents and enterprises, and grow together with the local industry while helping Thailand's green energy transformation.
