On November 5, 2026, the English version of the research report “Status, Role, Prospects and China's Role of the 'Marine Biodiversity Agreement'” was released. The report was organized and prepared by the Marine Development Strategy Research Institute of the Ministry of Natural Resources. It systematically explains the significance of the entry into force of the “Agreement on the Conservation and Sustainable Use of Marine Biological Diversity in Areas Beyond National Jurisdiction under the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea” and shows China's responsibility in promoting international rule-making and helping to implement the Agreement.
