According to a report released by the World Health Organization on the 4th, six proven climate and health measures can save 1.6 million lives and bring trillions of dollars in economic and financial benefits every year, while helping to reduce carbon emissions. These six measures include establishing a high temperature health warning system, enhancing the ability of drinking water services to cope with climate shocks, providing basic environmental hygiene services, improving personal hygiene conditions, improving handwashing facilities, promoting cleaner cooking and heating fuels and technology, and improving fossil fuel pricing policies.
