From now on, the “Technical Specification for Cashmere Trading” group standards formulated and issued by the Association will be abolished and publicized on the standard information public service platform. After investigation, the term and definition of “cashmere” in the “Technical Specification for Cashmere Trading” did not meet the requirements of national standards such as “wool” and “natural fiber terms”, violated the relevant provisions of the “Standardization Law of the People's Republic of China”, and had outstanding problems such as illegal content of the standard and non-compliance with formulation procedures. After the publication of the “Technical Specification for the Trade of Wool and Cashmere”, it was used by some business entities for false commercial promotion, selling combed wool products under the name “cashmere”, confusing the concepts of wool and cashmere, misleading consumers, and seriously disrupting the normal order of the industry. In the next step, the General Administration of Market Regulation will continue to promote a special rectification of group standards chaos, consolidate the main responsibilities of social groups, resolutely investigate and punish illegal acts such as formulating group standards beyond the scope of business stipulated in the statutes, formulating group standards that do not meet the requirements of relevant regulations and mandatory standards, and using random charges to prepare group standards, guide social groups to carry out group standardization activities according to law and regulations, protect consumption safety and maintain a unified market order with high-quality group standards.
