According to the news, on November 5, Huhuang Pharmaceutical announced that solepinib was granted Orphan Drug Designation (Orphan Drug Designation) by the US Food and Drug Administration (“FDA”) to treat autoimmune hemolytic anemia. This is the second US FDA orphan drug qualification after solepinib obtained orphan drug qualification for primary immune thrombocytopenia in October 2026.

According to reports, zolepinib is a novel, highly selective oral spleen tyrosine kinase (“Syk”) inhibitor. In China, two new drug marketing applications for solepinib to treat primary immune thrombocytopenia and warm-antibody autoimmune hemolytic anemia are currently under review by the China Drug Administration. The two applications are based on positive data from the key ESLIM-01 study and the ESLIM-02 study, respectively.
