The 2026 World Internet Conference Wuzhen Summit continues today. At the main forum of the summit, the “Jointly Build a Global Open Artificial Intelligence Action Initiative” was officially released. The initiative points out that computing power, data, and talent are currently becoming more and more important in the transformation of artificial intelligence, yet they are highly concentrated. There are still a few countries and enterprises that have the conditions to develop and apply basic models, and a new digital divide may arise as a result. To this end, the initiative calls for countries to jointly build shared computing power pools and high-quality data sets, set up open source seed funds, and support countries in the global South to carry out localized development on an open platform.
