On the afternoon of November 4, Premier Li Qiang of the State Council met with World Intellectual Property Organization Director General Deng Hongsen at the Great Hall of the People in Beijing. Li Qiang pointed out that China is willing to play a greater role in global intellectual property governance, continue to support the work of the World Intellectual Property Organization, constructively participate in the modernization and reform process of the global intellectual property service system, actively discuss topics such as artificial intelligence and cutting-edge technology within the organizational framework, and promote the evolution, optimization and improvement of international intellectual property rules with the times. China is ready to continue to develop capacity building cooperation with the World Intellectual Property Organization for countries in the global South, actively share useful experiences, contribute more public goods, and implement the “Belt and Road” cooperation agreement so that the results of intellectual property development can benefit all parties. We hope that the World Intellectual Property Organization will continue to support the development of China's intellectual property industry, build more platforms for exchanges and cooperation, and provide more convenient and high-quality services for Chinese intellectual property users.
