Some vehicles covered by this recall have insufficient impeller resin density due to imperfect resin molding conditions during the manufacturing process of low-pressure fuel pump impellers. The impeller may be affected by the fuel, swell and deform, and interfere with the low pressure fuel pump housing, causing the low pressure fuel pump to work poorly. In extreme cases, the engine may stall while the vehicle is running, which poses a safety hazard.
